| Bosnia remains a country unknown abroad, many people think the country is not safe or completely destroyed since the war of 1992-1995. |
| They are still some traces of that terrible war, but the country has been rebuilt and there is no more insecurity. |
| The biggest problem of the country is about politic : since the the Dayton accords that ended the war, the power is shared by the three main ethnic groups. Everyone defends its own achievements, the country is paralyzed by these politics. |
| Geographically, Bosnia has an exceptional climate : it's possible to have more than 20 degrees difference over a distance of 100km! You can basically share the country into 3 parts: the continental plains to the north, a Mediterranean climate in the south and between the both : mountains. It's possible to have temperature until -20 and -30° in winter in northern and central regions, and they can 45° in the south in summer. |
